The
Sycamore Soccer Club is a competitive-level soccer club located in
Northeast Cincinnati
,
Ohio
. This spring our club will fielded more than 40 select youth soccer teams in
the U8 through U18/19 age groups both for girls and boys. Our teams play in the
largest and most competitive league in
Cincinnati
, The Cincinnati United Soccer League (CUSL) (CUSLSOCCER.COM). Some of our most
competitive teams play in the Buckeye Premier League (BUCKEYEPREMIER.COM).
League games are generally scheduled for Sundays are and are not
scheduled before
noon
. All of the team have opportunities to play in age and skill appropriate
Tournaments, However, children on the under eight year old teams will not travel
outside of
Cincinnati
to play their games. Average cost is $325 per player per season which includes
training, games, referees, fields, insurance, tournaments, a
5 day summer soccer camp for 14s and under, and much more.
All Arsenal teams
participate in at least two practice sessions per week conducted by a
professional soccer trainer specializing in teaching soccer skills and tactics
to youth players focusing on the age and skill level appropriate to each team.
With multiple teams in each age the Arsenal can provide your child with soccer
education and development opportunities consistent with their ever changing
abilities.
Arsenal trainers and coaches work are directed by our Directors of
Coaching, Scott Rodgers and Stephen Hauter, and our Director of Coerver
Training, the internationally renowned soccer educator, Charlie Cooke, (charliecookesoccer.com).
Scott Rodgers was the Head Coach of Wright State University’s NCAA Division I
women’s soccer team before joining the Arsenal .He and Stephen Hauter are each
ODP State and Regional Coaches. Charlie Cooke played professionally in Europe on
Scotland
’s World Cup team and for
Chelsea
in the English Premier League. Charlie was recently honored as one of
Chelsea
’s greatest all time players by being named to their all century team on
Chelsea
’s 100th anniversary! Charlie is known throughout the world as one
of the great teachers of soccer development to youth players and is also the
Director for Coerver Soccer in
North America
.
The Arsenal provides multiple levels of competition. Our most accomplished
teams travel and compete throughout the
Midwest
. Our 11 and 12 year old boys teams were recently finalist in the State Cup
competition for OSYSA. Other teams play at less competitive levels, based solely
upon their current skill and commitment levels. Please contact any of the

The Arsenal is
also a partner in the Cincinnati United Premier Soccer Club (Cincinnatiunitedpremier.com)
for high school aged players that wish to play on a national level and are
looking to continue their soccer playing in college. CUP has helped over 250
student athletes play soccer in college in the last 8 years at schools including
Alabama, Louisville, Illinois, South Carolina, Ohio University, Bowling Green,
Georgia, Auburn, Kentucky, Xavier, Cincinnati, Ohio State, Ball State, Toledo,
Tennessee and Indiana.
The
Arsenal practice and play in the local Sycamore area at the Blue Ash Sports
Complex on Grooms Road, at the Blue Ash Recreation Center, at private fields on
Kenwood Road and Cornell Road, and at the Posey/Hartman Arsenal Training
Complex, which has been acknowledge by coaches, trainers and professional
players as one of the finest dedicated soccer training complexes in the Midwest.
The Complex is located 5 miles from
Kings
Island
on Route 42 and is a 36-acre, fully equipped training and game complex strictly
for Arsenal use.
SYCAMORE ARSENAL ANNOUNCES the U8 & U9 SOCCER INSTITUTE PROGRAM
After a successful pilot program this fall, the
Sycamore Soccer Club is proud to announce the implementation of the U8/U9
Soccer Institute Program. Charlie Cooke began this new program that brings together like-minded
young players that focuses on improving their individual skills.
Players that are part of the U8/U9
Arsenal Soccer Institute Program are placed on teams of 8-10
players. In addition to the twice weekly training sessions, they play in weekly
league games in the Cincinnati United Soccer League and may play in tournaments.
