index About CUSL (Cincinnati United Soccer League):

Competitive soccer clubs in the Greater Cincinnati area came together in early 2003 to form a new soccer league, the Cincinnati United Soccer League ("CUSL"). The league consists of 17 top soccer clubs in the Southwest Ohio area, including Beechmont SC, Centerville United (CUSA), Cincinnati West, Classics Hammer, Fairfield Optimist SC, GSE Cardinals, Lakota SC, Lakota Sports Organization, Loveland SC, Miami Township, Northern Kentucky United, SCSA Select, Star SC, Sycamore SC, Team Cincinnati United, Warren County, and Westside SC.

The clubs are committed to the following founding principles:

1. Cooperation and mutual respect among the clubs in the new venture. All clubs are commited to strong management, good infrastructure, and the ability to "leave their egos at the door" and work for the betterment of the league, thereby benefiting all of the clubs and players;

2. The intent to support one or two League Elite Alliance Teams for both boys & girls at age U-15 and above. These teams are to be made up of the best players in each age group regardless of club affiliation, and will be organized as the Cincinnati United Premier (CUP) program. The desire in creating these teams is to reverse the dilution of talent in the Southwest Ohio area, and to have teams that compete for regional, state, and national championships. For those players remaining on their club U-15 and above teams, the CUSL program will continue to provide a stable and competitive playing environment through their high school years;

3. An effort to start with a "clean sheet of paper" to develop the league's scheduling, bracketing, and other cooperative ventures;

4. A desire to support one another's tournaments to showcase Southwest Ohio's soccer talent.
